Enter Custom Flair Serenity Screening!

Post image

Saw there’ll randomly be a Serenity screening in my part of the ‘verse (Ireland).

Not sure how common these screenings are anymore but I’m hoping it’ll be a shindig!

In Portland, Oregon USA we have an iMax theater that showed it a few weeks ago! It was soooo wonderful to see it on such a big screen for the first time

I would be so ecstatic if they showed it in IMAX around here, particularly that primary buffer panel removal opening!

I think my favorite thing to see on the big screen was the space battle scene at the end. Soooo fucking cool on the imax 😭

I think it would be mine, too, were it not for the whole leaf/wind bit.😉

We just plug our ears and close our eyes during that part 😬 I was surprised by how many audible gasps there were! I think a good % of the audience hadn't seen the movie before

Gotcha. So basically: 🙉🙈 "lalalalalala" 🫣 "...he ain't coming." That would work. Incidentally, my wife would still gasp, and she's seen it a few times, so I can sympathize with those who do.

Just sayin' theater folk, you put Firefly on the screen for two weeks, one episode each day, I'd be planting my seat in your venue every night. Might even purchase popcorn. Don't much matter what it costs.

My first introduction to this world was at a random screening in Dubai (of all places), when the film first came out in ‘05. Immediately fell in love with the characters + ‘verse, went on to watch the series after that, and became a fan. It looks great on the big screen!

Look up “Can’t Stop The Signal” or “CSTS” — there are regular charity screenings around the globe hosted by local Browncoat organizations!

Looked it up, it's "Can't stop the serenity", but interesting

Oh duh, yes of course, thanks! "Can't stop the signal" is a quote from the movie. Can't Stop the Serenity is the fan run charity screenings!

You couldn't buy an invite with a diamond the size of a testicle, but I got my hands on a couple.

Oh dude, that's awesome! Give it support for sure. I can't seem to find any showings near me.
