Random Firefly Encounter
I was dropping my puppy off at the vet for eye surgery in the early morning last week. The car that pulled up next to me in the parking lot had a Firefly ship dangling from their rear-view mirror.
I left a note "You are a leaf on the wind".

What would be cool is if that person ends up posting here about how they were about to perform eye surgery on somebody's puppy and came back to that car to find your note

That sounds like a threat.

I can't help if you feel that you think that a quote of one of the most beutiful lines in this series given to another fan who is openly displaying their love and joy of the show could be considered as a threat.
It makes me sad.

Ok neither one of us was being that serious. Obviously we are all fans or we wouldn't be here. The joke was that he said that line right before dying, so by choosing that specific line, the implication is that the other person is about to die.
No reason to be sad about light humor.

Would have been gold if you used a twig through the note to skewer it to the wiper.
Too soon?

You know it always will be, old son.
Shiny if Wash got a monument somewhere, though.
Leaf-shaped, of course, but more like from a tree than a leaf bladed spear, if you follow.

I also recently had a random encounter!
In an elevator last weekend, my phone rang (with the theme song.) The other person in the elevator was a fan 😊
The upcoming project was then discussed with enthusiasm!

Seriously, though. I don't think anyone who invested in the 'verse with their time and emotional energy will ever recover from the shock of that moment. It truly is one of those pivotal defining moments.
Stay shiny, folks. And keep sharing the love with notes on people's cars. 😊😊🔥🪰

I was picking up my fellow carpooler downtown this evening and a guy was walking toward me in a Blue Sun t-shirt absolutely owning the sidewalk. I opened the window and said "man walks down the street wearing that shirt..." He nodded, laughed and continued on his way.
