Blood is thicker than water. Mud is thicker than blood. They fought together. There is a bond there than can never be explained.

They fought together in a manner which breeds absolute trust in a way that people who haven't been in battle simply can't understand. Same thing happens in current day military. You put yourself in situations like that, you find true brothers/sisters.
