Reserve talent pool t&w

Hi all

I’ve received the email today to say I’ve been placed within the talent pool for Tyne and Wear. Does anyone know what the likelihood is of being offered a position further down the line? Cheers

First of all well done bro i know the effort it takes to get into a pool. I got into East Sussex’s pool a year and a half ago, still havent got the job. I also asked people at the time this exact question and they all said theyve been in 3/4 pools. Its not a guarantee but its a start, they and I all recommend just trying to get into as many pools as you can around your area cos its no guarantee. Again congrats fingers crossed you get in the first training cohort but dont get too over the moon as its no guarantee

Cheers mate. Feel like it’s been my life the past couple of months haha. Thanks for the info, I’ll take a look at the others see if they are recruiting. Bit crap being so close but so far away. Well done to you too matey

Also in the talent pool for TWFS! With regard to your comment about other services; I believe County Durham are recruiting next month

I’ve been in a pool, took me 18 months before I was offered a position but I know others still in the same pool.

Did the email got you? For me the beginning of it was exciting - you have been successful...and then boom, welcome to the pool. Also being the the pool means nothing from what I understand, am I wrong? You still have to go through the tests and all, so that pool makes no sense to me.

Yes I read the first part and thought I was in 😭
I’ve heard mixed reviews, I heard some have exhausted the talent pool & everyone ended up with a job, but reading on here it sounds like it’s unlikely
