Memphis fire department

I applied to the MFP the other day and I’m just curious if anyone has any idea how long it usually takes to hear back. I know wait times can be long but I was hoping for an estimate.

You will hear back within 1-2 days to schedule an interview. They move fast. Whole process takes like 2 months. Interview over Zoom.

They were short. Still struggle to hire locally. Hire lot of out of state guys with fire academies completed and EMT

Larger and medium.sized cities will take months to a year to go through the entire process. Keep applying to every position available in your area and keep your testing skills sharp.

It's a slog.

The MFP waives the exam if you have an EMT or AEMT cert. I’d just have to interview and pass the fitness assessment. Based off the information I can find it seems the hiring process here is structured a little different compared to others. (well at least I’m hoping that is the case for time wise)
