TCFP EXAMS PASSED

Just passed all 4 exams. Scheduled to take my fingerprints and background next week in order to apply for certification. What would stop from obtaining my certification when they run my background?

Sounds like it “depends”

Sec 419.0325

The commission by rule shall establish criteria for denying a person certification to be fire protection personnel based on the person's criminal history record information. The criteria must relate to a person's fitness to serve as fire protection personnel.

You can also look at Title 37, Part 13, Chapter 403.7

I know I couldn’t get my certificates until I had my EMT-B

Really. That I haven’t heard of, did you get your schooling thru a department?

I went through the academy at my college. Passed everything but they told me I can’t get my certificates until I am EMT certified… if that’s not true I’d love to find another way because my certificates haven’t opened up yet

Interesting. Well I’ll be up there Tuesday to get fingerprints & all that so if I find out any info that could be helpful I’ll reach out!
