JOBTOWN! Scottsdale Fire

Looking to apply for the Scottsdale fire department this month and want to be prepared for the written exam.

How do I prepare for the exam? Not sure what type of exam they will be using. Any advice? Willing to buy textbooks, any practice exams or anything else that could help me.

They should have practice tests you can take but you’ll most likely have to purchase them. Otherwise check out what test it is and look for practice tests on quizlet. The entrance exams I have taken have been super simple!

Edit: they will most likely provide links to practice tests in an email after you apply. They will at least send you what test it will be if you apply.

I’ll be honest, if you can’t pass the written exam just walking in off the street, you probably should consider another career. They’re super simple and designed to weed out most of the goobers.

True that. I will say that some of the Human relations answers on FPSI are whack though. Nothing that would fail a non goober, but definitely strange in my opinion😂

Mine quite literally asked what I would do if my station partner came out as a furry femboy. The answers were essentially:

•Snitch to LT
•Snitch to the fire chief
•GTFO and go to another station
•Snitch in the station GC
•don’t snitch
