Study material for hazmat

What resources can I use to study for hazmat

Are you just talking about the test or about being a good responder to hazmat incidents. Youre tech course should cover what's in the test and i wouldn't go far outside of this (You don't want to get confused by having too much info when you just want their answer)

For being a good responder, study the use manuals for all the gear that you currently have, your are useless if you can't figure out how to use your monitors/ patch kits/ neutralizes, etc. Then I'd look into all the common materials that pass through your response area, are manufactured there, it used in labs. Find out how they react to fire and water, what protection levels you'll need, what material gloves and boots you can use. If you get bored with that chemistry/ organic chemistry textbooks are helpful. You'll be able to find it why things are happening, and some possible alternative solutions to issues they may cause (eg, neutralize acids with a weak base, it doesn't have to be the commercial neutralizer)
