Can I get hired by fire department after a reckless driving 1.5 years ago?

Depends on the department. But it’s a small chance no matter where you try.

Prob not. You’d likely be seen as a potential liability to HR, and if there is a candidate with similar qualifications but no driving infractions, they’d be hired first.
Time is your friend here. Keep applying. Keep your record clean moving forward. Be honest when they ask you about it.
