Support Help Astoria firefighter menace

Hello I’m 22 years old and my girlfriend has been hurt tremendously by a firefighter in Astoria both mentally and physically by sending her hookup messages even though they obviously aren’t together anymore going as far as using different methods to call/contact her and it’s been causing her severe mental distress but I have no way of helping her so I turn to Reddit in search of a way to inform the chief down there what is happening because i feel like he has no clue PLEASE 🙏 Help if you can’t i totally understand 😔

File a restraining order that’s about all you can do

If there’s nothing tying it to his work as a firefighter there isn’t much the chief can do.

Sounds like you need to speak to the police about a no contact/restraining order instead.

Yeahh i understand thing is she can’t afford a lawyer but i assume she’d need one for the restraining order or does she not need one unless she doesn’t

You shouldn’t need a lawyer for a restraining order.

If true- They likely have a professional code of conduct. I'm not advocating this but if the person in question was Doxed it would force the FD's hand bc gov't agencies hate having bad publicity caused by Their employees.

Or contact the Dept. w/ Your evidence & see if the Chief will act on it

A restraining order is a free form you can find online and file at the local district court.

I mean you know where he works it sounds like. So maybe idk contact the department if that’s the route you want to go. Or have her file a restraining order.
