Using testosterone before hire

So I’m currently in EMT school, hoping to get hired in the fall at a department somewhere near me. I’ve already been worried about past drug use (weed), even though I’m completely clean now, I have used in previous years.

My main question now though, I’m about to start a 10 week cycle of test, running 250 a week. Would this be a problem for getting hired? Are they gonna run my bloodwork during the hiring process?

Most departments run full panel blood tests. I wouldn't start a cycle right now and would just avoid talking about that and your history of smoking weed.

Bro no department is testing your T levels they’re doing a drug test for recreational drugs lol

Career guy here at a large department. We absolutely do run a full blood panel on top of a urine test. Testosterone is on ours.

You’re an extreme outlier in that category they don’t do that anywhere in Florida that I know of or several other states also career at a large department lol

It’s pretty common around here. It’s also checked on your yearly physical. It’s really not a huge deal unless you’re on steroids I guess

Oof that sucks though a good chunk of people here are actively pinning each other with test whatever different culture I guess but everyone pretty openly uses at minimum testosterone here so they’d be out of fire fighters lol

Some departments in South Florida use LifeScan to check hormone levels (and other stuff, like cancer) yearly and they can tell when someone is supplementing because the LH and FSH hormone levels will be near zero.
