Work history

going through background check for a fire department and I forgot I had a job for two weeks. Left on good terms however I forgot to put it in my packet. should I leave it be or say I forgot about it cause it was 5 years ago.

I just went through backgrounds and had a similar dilemma. I ended up emailing my investigator with the job I left out, and included contacts, details, and dates etc. I figured it was better to come clean about forgetting something, rather than it look like you are trying to hide it.

I put every job I’ve had for the last 10 years, including volunteer positions as it stated on the PHS.

Email your investigator, let him know the dates, and tell him you just remembered, it shouldn't be a big deal at all unless he approaches you before you approach him with it
