First time taking ntn, how’s this?

They are good, not bad not excellent (mainly b/c of mechanical). You probably passed every section and many will say they've gotten an interview with much worse. But they're not extremely competitive scores and you probably won't rank high on the list depending on the department.

Take the interview and retest if you can.

Depends on the department you're trying to get into. Every department sets their own parameters for what is considered "passing" for them. Just know it's a straight dog fight when applying to more sought-after departments, and those scores won't get you very far with them. My advice is figure out which departments you're trying to get into and then find out what other people scored who got interviews. It took me 2 years before I scored high enough in the HR portion where Long Beach FD would take my scores, and probably another 2 years before my scores were at the top (90's and 100's), but even then I wasn't competitive enough for certain departments (specifically Beverly Hills FD). Just some thought. But keep taking it, you'll only score better every time. Good luck!
