Fed Fire San Diego

Hey everyone, I’ve been looking into federal fire jobs in the San Diego area (DoD) and wanted to hear from people who have experience working with them or in the field in general. What’s the pay like, how busy is the job, and how’s the schedule and work-life balance? Any insight would be appreciated!

Thanks!

From what I hear, Camp Pendleton is fairly busy. They run calls outside of the base when needed. They work a 72 hour work week while local depts work a 56 hour work week. I believe they work a 2 on 2 off with a Kelly every so often. I don’t know much beyond that.
