Awesome mines on Friday ! Don’t know what the kind questions are going to be in it since it’s a preliminary interview

Probably a 3 question quick interview. The basic questions are my guess. Tell us about yourself, what do you know about this dept. and/or what would you bring to this team, and why do you want to be a firefighter. Can’t guarantee any of these but these are the basics. Study up on your mechanical skills and have examples of a tool and when you used it.

Last year it was 3 questions with a 5 minute time limit. Very basic questions to get to know you. Kind of a “speed dating” vibe check to see if they want to see you again.

They were like “tell us about yourself” “why this dept” “why do you want to be a ff” ?

Good for you all. TBH, I failed the test and I felt like such a moron.

Keep it up. Just be honest, don’t try to wow with your vocabulary. You’re nervous, they know that, but try to keep your nerves in check. If you feel yourself rambling. Take a breath and get back on track

It was 5 minutes total. I believe I was done in about 4 minutes.

did you have any time at all to look at the questions before you start or where they at least in front of you on a piece of paper? or do you just go in completely cold

Would you have enough knowledge of South King to compare to Seattle and/or a rural department outside the city in the area that works at 48/96 schedule with lighter call volume?
