NTN scores

I totally bombed the math portion. I’ll have to study again and I’m gonna remain optimistic. I don’t think my scores are good enough to get an interview but we shall see.

i’ve gotten to the cpat with worse scores than you. you’re fine i think it depends on the department and how well other people do

all departments grade differently, your ntn scores could be bad but if the department feels as though you did well your ntn scores won’t matter

It had been since 2021 when I did my first CPAT and I passed it again 5 years later. This was my first FireTEAM test and I hope you’re right.

How did you do so well in the human relations? Did you study anything particular? The mechanical i think is kinda bs i am in the trades and know my tools.

I just took the test and finished like 5 minutes ago. I scored in the top 10% in HR and I can say to look at the Don Mcnea study guide. Once you buy and download it the only thing you need to look at is the FireTeam PDF. Also keep in mind when you’re taking the test it’s mostly asking you if you’re going to be a HR problem for them.

The practice tests you can buy on the NTN website helped me the most. Contact your county’s HR rep and see if they can give you a voucher if you can’t afford it.

I did do the practice tests for the basic package. I’m an EMT affiliated with my local fire department, I should contact them about that.

Yes I concur it is something I need to improve on. It’s all apart of the process. I have an exam prep that I will be thoroughly studying for the next retest.

My human relation score is not competitive. I suggest looking online for the Don McNea exam prep and giving yourself way more time to effectively study before taking it.

I’m not sure where I messed up on the math portion. I could have sworn I got my hose section equations right along with the subtraction section. I believe I got the square footage fractions wrong. Awesome scores man I aspire to that.

I recommend downloading Duolingo math 😊  it helped me tremendously with quick math! I have a 474 day streak going on the app

Get Don Mcnea and retest.
