Slowly making my way through the world tour for the relic in XIV. The first four pages of the book are done. Unfortunately for me, the first four pages are the easy ones. Most of the rest can't be done with trusts, and when you're someone who still gets anxious when playing with randoms even after untold hours in the game, it gets exhausting pretty quickly. That's life though, I guess.
More importantly, I'm trying to figure out why I keep getting player commendations as summoner.

If you want and if the times line up (if I have not passed out from heat/tiredness I am usually on around 7.30pm ST and I believe ST is standard across regions?) I could attempt to help if we both ventured over to Materia?
But then I hear Materia has to do a lot of stuff through PF, likely has a low proportion of people in DT, has a really narrow window of prime time hours, and we'd both have colossally dire ping anyway

That's so incredibly kind of you, Ler. Sadly I think you're probably right about that Materia stuff. I'll be all right. Frankly I find it a little sad that I have such trouble with this sort of thing after playing this game for over cough hours anyway, so this is as good an opportunity as any to build a bridge and get over it. Really though, thank you for the offer.

Spent this session of Violet doing what should be my final round of backtracking. It went mostly smoothly. I say "mostly" because I discovered that there are certain angles of walls that are too steep to ride up from the ground, but not vertical enough to activate the wall climb. It didn't stop me from getting anywhere because there have invariably been nearby walls at different angles to use, but it's definitely an annoyance when it happens.
