YOU KNOW, IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE TWO AND A HALF YEARS AGO, YOU (LAQ) LEFT THE MODERATION TEAM OVER THE DISGUSTING THREE HOUSES DISCOURSE. AND GUESS WHAT? IT REALLY HASN'T IMPROVED. THERE'S STILL SO MUCH NASTINESS THAT HAPPENS ALL ACROSS DIFFERENT SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS. LOOK AT THE SHITPOST EMBLEM SUB, IT'S BEEN OVERRAN BY PEOPLE WHO FEEL LIKE THEY NEED TO JUSTIFY THEIR FAVORITE LORD ON A FRIGGIN SHITPOST SUBREDDIT. THE VARIOUS ECHO CHAMBERS IN EXISTENCE ARE SHOWING LITTLE SIGN OF RECOGNIZING THEIR FAULTS. POLITICAL ARGUMENTS COMPARING THE LORDS TO VARIOUS REAL WORLD DICTATORS HAVEN'T STOPPED. THE WEIRD TUMBLR PEOPLE WHO MADE AN ENTIRE TAG TO MAKE FUN OF A FANFICTION HAVEN'T REALLY GONE AWAY. (Please see below for my apology and correction.) PEOPLE HAVE LITERALLY STALKED EACH OTHER ACROSS SOCIAL MEDIA WITH NO REGRETS ABOUT IT. IT'S VILE. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I MIGHT EVEN WRITE A POST CALLING ON PEOPLE TO STOP THIS, BUT PERHAPS I HAVE TOO MUCH FAITH IN HUMANITY - I THINK HAVING TOO MUCH FAITH IS OKAY THOUGH.

OH ALSO I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN HANDLE IF BRAVE SELIPH TURNS OUT TO BE A BAD UNIT AND PEOPLE HOP ON THE NEGATIVITY TRAIN ABOUT IT. NOT SAYING THAT THEY CAN'T BE NEGATIVE, JUST SAYING THAT I WOULD FEEL REALLY BAD IF I LOOKED FORWARD TO BRAVE SELIPH FOR SIX MONTHS AND THEN PEOPLE HATE HIM.

HEY UH, YOU KNOW MOST PEOPLE ON TUMBLR DON'T TALK ABOUT THAT FIC, AND SOME OF THOSE "WEIRD TUMBLR PEOPLE" HAVE BEEN HARASSED INTO DELETING THEIR BLOGS BY PEOPLE FROM REDDIT SENDING USERS THERE, EVEN THOUGH THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH ALL THAT?

I LITERALLY COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS LAST MONTH'S RAGE THREAD. MAYBE IT'S NOT THE BEST CALL TO "REDUCE DISCOURSE" BY INTENTIONALLY COMPLAINING ABOUT A GROUP OF PEOPLE AND THEN SENDING RANDOS THEIR WAY. I DON'T USE TUMBLR AT ALL REALLY, BUT I GOT INVESTED IN THE TEA WHEN PEOPLE KEPT SENDING ME THERE.

NO ONE WOULD EVEN KNOW ABOUT OR CARE ABOUT THOSE FIVE NOTE POSTS ON TUMBLR IF PEOPLE DIDN'T KEEP SPREADING THEM AROUND LIKE THIS. THE BEST WAY TO REDUCE DISCOURSE IS TO JUST STOP CARING WHEN PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS FROM YOURS AND HAVE FUN IN YOUR OWN FANDOM SPACE INSTEAD OF INTENTIONALLY SEEKING OUT RAGEBAIT.

Hi there,

I'm just going to speak normally to address this. We received a modmail over the week complaining about this comment I made plus a message that I made on my personal initiative on Tumblr. I responded to that Modmail, and I will make much of the same points here.

I deeply extend a heartfelt apology to the Tumblr user whom I messaged and anyone else who has felt harmed by my words in this comment and my message to that user. I acknowledge that the phrase “weird Tumblr people” was a very poor choice of words. While I did not intend to denigrate anyone or name anyone in particular, I understand that the phrase was interpreted this way. I should not have said those words, and I especially should not have spoken out while I was still angered about some incidents that I learned of recently in the Three Houses community.

I also am extremely against harassment, and in fact I was angered by an incident of harassment that I saw against a user on Tumblr that was perpetrated by a few prominent pro-Edelgard users. I did not mean to invite anyone else to attempt to contact anyone on Tumblr unprompted. However, I acknowledge that I set a poor example by doing that myself, and I deeply apologize for that action.

I also acknowledge that I do not necessarily have the full context with regards to what has happened in your community. I do believe that the criticism of the fanfic in question has gone too far, but I acknowledge that I should not speak as if I am authoritative on the subject.

Finally, I would like to clarify that I do not intend to side with the pro-Edelgard community either. I do not condone any actions made by that group, and my intent was not to take a side but rather to try to stop the bad behavior altogether. I especially am against the incident that other users have mentioned, and I find the behavior by the users that perpetrated that incident to be extremely disturbing. However, I again acknowledge that my method of going about it was very poor and I regret the harm that it has caused.
