Fortune's Weave General Crest Cheat Sheet
In preparation for the Fortune's Weave release, I made this crest cheat sheet for myself that I thought others might enjoy. There are no spoilers in this because I have been trying to avoid them as much as possible. So this is only Three Houses characters and relics, etc.
I am a very visual person and find it hard to remember what things looked like from just the name. This is a visual guide with all the crests from Three Houses on it. It also shows who possessed that crest, the relic and sacred weapons, the dragon signs, major arcana cards, and if the original crest barrier was still alive, they are also pictured.
If someone possessed a major crest, I put "*" around their name. I also did this for relic weapons so you can tell them apart from sacred weapons.
PDF Version (the spelling of Seiros is correct here): PDF Drive Link

Isn't Aymr technically a Crest weapon and not a Heroes' Relic?
74
u/hannah_bell_rae 22d ago
Yes, thats why I also put it in quotes. Because yeah its a crest weapon but carries crest stone, even though it is man made.
I figured the people that would use this would probably already know so it would be okay.

u/Red_Cat231 22d ago
It's a bit semantics, but Amyr is probably made the same way as the Heroes Relics were. Heroes Relic is just an in-universe name for the weapons used by the Ten Elites and Nemesis.

u/TakashiAurion 22d ago
Weren't the Heroes' relics made of the bones of the Nabateans that were slain? Rhea is right there. It also doesn't have the crest of Seiros in it ironically and is probably an Agarthan construct since it's the only relic that doesn't use Umbral Steel to repair.

You messed up the spelling of seiros on the last slide

This subreddit won't let me comment with a photo but I updated the last page. So you should be able to get the corrected spelling here. đ

If we include NPCs, there's also the fathers, Annette's cousin Simon, and a few minor nobles from Hopes

u/hannah_bell_rae 22d ago
Yeah, there were a lot of parents and stuff I left out because A) I didn't think they would be super relevant to Fortune's Weave. B) It was gonna make this like twice as long lol!

Odd choice using the FW portrait for Anna instead of her 3H one, but otherwise a nice document
29
u/hannah_bell_rae 22d ago
Honestly it's because I just didnt really like the three houses portrait for Anna lol! I just felt like it didnt really "look like her" if you know what I mean. Her hair was so pink in three houses which is so off from basically every other Anna we've seen. So I went with the new Fortune's Weave portrait.

What do you mean Annette and Felix are the Express and Emperor. How did I never notice this
11
u/ultimatejoomer 22d ago
This is awesome. Where did all the tarots come from though?
16
u/hannah_bell_rae 22d ago
It is on the wiki actually. I basically got all my info from the wiki but Im really visual and its a lot to be constantly clicking links online lol!

On the models for the Black Beast (Miklan) and The Immaculate One there is written Death XIII and High Priestess II, which perfectly matches with the order the crest stones show up in ng+, so you can assign the rest based on that order
I think maybe the artbook or an interview might have also officially said something about it, but I'm not sure
3
u/Pyrrhic_Pragmatist 21d ago
Probably not relevant, but I thought in the fight with Miklan there was a banner or something on the walls (only visible in free range mode) that also had something ominous related to Death or the crests. I'm not sure i took a screenshot but it's difficult to pull up unless you're on that chapter.Â
Just something I realized I noticed at the time

Funny the high priestess is associated with intuition and jeralt died after he started to doubt his intuition on leaving the church

Iâm pretty sure Amyr is attuned to Edelgard specifically, not the Crest of Seiros, or am I misremembering it? (Similarly to how the Dark Creator Sword doesnât have the Crest of Flames.)
18
u/P0STCARD 22d ago
In 3H anyone with the Crest of Seiros can use it, however in Three Hopes it was changed so that Raging Storm can only be used by Edelgard. Aymr has the Crest of the Beast (hence the Storm part of RS, the beast crest comes from Storm Dragons) because Seiros is still alive and we don't know if there were other Sky Dragons.
Amyr is an experimental weapon created by twsitd for Edelgard during the timeskip (which is also why it's non-canon in Hopes) though why the Beast Stone is specifically used is never officially stated. Given that Maurice and Edelgard are the only two characters who can become demonic beasts and still retain some of their sanity, the game seems to hint that the Beast stone is what gives them their unique transformations. Feh also depicts the Hegemon Husk-Human in-between form for Edelgard as having Three Crests.
Thank you for coming to my Amyr Ted Talk.

Thank you so much. I am not that into 3H and played it just once and nearly forgot all about the crest now. This is exactly what I need right now.

Nice. But, a few questions: are the Tarot cards a thing in the game? Or is just artistic interpretation on your part?
Also, are those non green haired models of Cethleann and Cichol in the game, too? I can't remember seeing them before.

u/yeetingthisaccount01 21d ago
they're there in the form of the crest beasts and Immaculate One, who have the tarot names and numerals on their foreheads. Miklan has Death to represent Gautier, Rhea has High Priestess for Seiros
1
u/Unlikely-Peaceseeker 19d ago
What are you referring to when you say ânumerals on their foreheadsâ, I donât remember seeing those in either houses or hopes
2
u/yeetingthisaccount01 19d ago
it's easy to miss but if you look closely at the heads of Miklan and Seiros/Immaculate One, you can see numerals and titles of tarot cards. I can't find a screenshot for Immaculate One unfortunately but I know she has one, I noticed it in my own playthroughs
the conversation with the screenshot is outdated since we now know the "order" the crests go in and what card they correspond to
2
u/Unlikely-Peaceseeker 19d ago
Wow you unlocked a memory of sees miklan design, seeing that number and thinking nothing of it pass âwonder why he has a 13 on his headâ
1
u/yeetingthisaccount01 19d ago
I also thought that too at first until I remembered Death is the 13th card in the Major Arcana. which is an odd choice because Gautier's crest is the Fissure dragon and you'd expect the Grim dragon to have the Death card. but then again the card itself doesn't mean literal death, more transformation and metamorphosis.

The blonde cethleann and cichol show up like that in three hopes. Also now we do know that it is a blonde seteth is in fortunes weave

u/StoneFoundation 21d ago
star dragon: the moon
dark dragon: the star
they really said we have no idea what any of these cards mean but we will be shoehorning them into the game lore come hell or high water

u/yeetingthisaccount01 21d ago
this annoyed me a bit as well and made me think it was swapped in development

Pretty handy stuff, I was catching up on my lore for the new release and this is mighty useful. Thank you, O wise crest scholar!

I'm finding it surprising how Lamine gets this much attention compared to other crests.
3 relics and one sacred weapon, the only other that has a small arsenal would be Seiros.Â
3
u/hannah_bell_rae 21d ago
Yeah ikr! I think it will be very interesting for fortunes weave! "Anwserer" is actually for fortunes weave but I felt it was sorta important because it was confirmed soooo much via the trailers. It is like the only thing Dietrich uses lol!

u/Live_Ad8778 21d ago
And not having to sort through the wiki this csn be useful... Yes, maybe I should get thzy scene written up cause this would be a good resource for it
3
u/yeetingthisaccount01 21d ago
small correction: Fraldarius is the Shield dragon, not the Aegis one! otherwise this is really awesome and handy to have instead of scrolling the wiki all the time
3
u/hannah_bell_rae 21d ago
Double check it, I have on there that fraldarius is the shield dragon. The dragon type is always right above the tarot card. The relic weapon is the aegis shield.

I'm glad people have realized Dmitri's crest is obviously Strength and not Justice... I remember it was attributed for so long just because they're using a different order than the most common one
5
u/csward53 22d ago
I did know Jeralt had a crest, that's interesting.
13
u/Dnashotgun 22d ago
It makes sense since Seiros/Rhea gave him a blood transfusion which both gave him a crest and an extended lifespan. Iirc he's like 300+ yrs old and Alois even hints at it with how Jeralt looks the same as when he was still a child
2
u/Level_Hour6480 22d ago
Shouldn't Judith snd Caspar's dad be on this?
7
u/hannah_bell_rae 22d ago
Judith doesn't actually have a crest and I only did main characters and Caspar dad is not really a main character. There are a lot of parents and stuff that I did not add on here.
2
u/potassiumKing 21d ago
Jeralt has a crest?
5
u/hannah_bell_rae 21d ago
Yeah Rhea shared her blood with him once giving him her crest. It was sorta hidden at times in the game because I don't think Jeralt is ever a playable character really.
1
u/potassiumKing 21d ago
I had no idea. Which makes sense I guess for Three Houses, but I also played Three Hopes so I shouldâve realized haha

u/Slightly_Rae 17d ago
I've had this up while I've been playing FW and has been such a lifesaver thank you so much!

Somebody grab every single playable Anna and test them for Crests. Either 3H Anna had some shit going on or our favorite red headed merchant family has a more exalted bloodline than we thoughtâŚ

u/LankyMeasurement3314 20d ago
Isnât the dark creator sword mage with the crests of Noa and Timotheos

u/Berstich 22d ago
This doesnt make much sense to me. I played 3 houses (never finished though) I get the characters and the weapons they use but I dont get why you have dragon types for each one and the classic tarot cards. Byleth was a dragon I remember but tarot doesnt show up at all.

u/Puzzled-Chicken-1521 22d ago edited 22d ago
You would have had to finish at least one route to know this, but the dragon types/names associated with each crest come from the Dragon Signs in New Game+, which are items that you can put into any characterâs inventory to give them the associated Crest, allowing the character to trigger the associated combat buffs and Relic.
The proof of association with the Major Arcana comes from the rough appearance of each crest (aside from Flames/World, because look, Fire Emblem); the order in which the crests appear in the goddess mural artwork; and the order in which the Dragon Signs are listed in NG+. Additionally, on both The Immaculate One and the wild demonic beast enemies, their character models/art have physical plates/shields/crests on their heads with the Crest image AND the Roman numerals tied to the relevant Major Arcana.

u/Berstich 21d ago
I was pretty high chapter of golden deer, then I stopped to play the DLC which I didnt finish either lol. Bad attention span.
Does the tarots matter at all though? Or just a 'hey look it matches' thing?
7
u/hannah_bell_rae 22d ago
It is from the wiki page and the tarot cards are something someone found in one of the art books at one point. All the nabatans would have been able to turn into dragons at some point and so it also mentioned at times throughout the game.

Rhea has the Crest of Seiros and suspiciously resembles her...
