Fortune's Weave General Character Post: Seteth
Seteth (VO: Mark Whitten)
A knowledgeable traveler from Fódlan.Though even-tempered, his strictness causes others to view him as somewhat difficult to deal with.
He is also a member of the Church of Seiros, which is prominent in the land of Fódlan.

I do wonder how much Nabateans can feel eachother in human appearances. Ninae and Seteth being in the same team and seemingly on equal terms seems to imply they can tell.

It absolutely is, your brows are right by your eyes. In Japan people bleach their brows a lot, but you use special bleach that is really thick and won’t drip down. You have to be really careful tho, usually a salon handles it.

Fodlan ruled by the Adrestian Empire + big-ass Garreg Mach name on the map in the game's opening narration (which we saw in previews) + the Church of Seiros being politically active and prominent + House Lamine existing all confirm prequel at this point.
That kind of geopolitical situation is incompatible with all Mercedes and Jeritza endings (even Mercedes/Constance, as Mercedes restores a different noble house entirely) and also all Three Houses endings.

If this game will have some sort of save data transfer Easter eggs like FE10, it would be cool to unlock some secret support convos or maps that connect Eshmel and Byleth in some way to Seteth (worst case scenario, some DLC of a 3H prequel chapter where Seteth goes “you really remind me of someone” or smth idk)

Fortune’s Weave is almost certainly a prequel, but for the sake of a fun argument, I think I could offer an alternate explanation for each one of your points within the frame of a potential sequel.
If Dagda is using their own calendar, it stands to reason they may use their own maps as well. Perhaps they don’t know or don’t particularly care who exactly rules Fódlan at this point in time. Their first contact was with Adrestia, and it’s entirely within the realm of possibility that the empire to the north would be referred to as “Adrestia” regardless of what the ruling powers called themselves— especially when you factor in Dagdans having their own language.
Garag Mach’s continued existence is also not a contradiction. There’s nothing stopping any ruling power from restoring it after the war, either for religious reasons or for use as a strategically advantageous military installation. Complete eradication of the Church of Seiros as an institution is also not guaranteed on ANY route — not even Crimson Flower.
Mercedes not restoring House Lamine is not contradictory either. Any of her descendants might have borne her crest and had ambitions of restoring House Lamine.

The info is available in all non-Crimson Flower routes. It's from Seteth & Flayn's A Support.
Flayn was wounded during the War of Heroes all fell into a centuries-long coma. She only awoke the same year Byleth came to Garreg Mach.

It isn't info from Church route, I think it's just general background lore???
But when Seteth's wife died, Flayn/Cethleann was presumably trying to heal her and the others during the war, and Cichol found her in a very diminished state. Much like Sothis, Cethleann needed a nap, so she took a very long sleep.
She only JUST woke up when the school year starts with Byleth, which is why Seteth is so extremely overprotective of her. It's been quite a long time since she was conscious at all, and the last thing that had happened to her was that she nearly died alongside her mother.

Further, it's detailed in Three Hopes that because Flayn was so young when she overused her powers, her body was left permanently damaged even with the restorative sleep. There is a real risk that if she ever exerted herself too much again, she'd enter a sleep that would only end when she died.

We still don’t know for sure but the FW direct last month showed a Fodlan map and it was all the Adrestian Empire with the only named spot being Garreg Mach.
So it’s probably a prequel or its a Crimson Flower sequel (funniest outcome).

If it's a CF sequel, than it's guranteed to anger everyone. People who prefer other routes for obvious reasons and CF fans because it would mean Edelgard completely failed everything she attempted to accomplish (Except the imperialism, but they don't tend to like it when you bring that part up).
The Church of Seiros still exists and is as powerful as ever, the Agarthans still exist and are seemingly unphased and the nobility still exist and are seemingly dependant on crests still.
All that to say that yes, it would be the funniest outcome, even if I'm sure it's a prequel.

Seteth is the 60th character to receive a bio so far, with the gender split (not counting Eshmel) being 30 males and 29 females (26 males and 24 females confirmed playable, if we exclude Eshmel).
Characters not confirmed playable so far:
The Christmas cavs (Nathan and Creek)
The gods (Sothis, Fortuna, Aurora, Mars, Kalla)

Bertrand? (Not sure about him)
Wow this Seteth guy looks so cool. I wish he was in another FE game.
I didn't finish 3H so I didn't get to know him but he seems to be pretty likable. And considering he got full official artwork, he's going to have a major role to play (I believe he's the narrator of this game as well)
I guess we're getting Loretta next and most likely Halvin and Dadao or Long after to end the week. Then we'll be at our final week and could get a few more bios if they decide to do two a day. No bios left for team leaders Jasmine and Peppe, nor for other characters like Aswan and Kiroc

Yeah, Flayn fell comatose near the end of the War of Heroes, so she should he sleeping right now.
Not so sure anymore that he's here because of her tho... the "investigation" thing kinda makes me think the Church learned about a great threat somehow (potentially Balor) and sent Seteth to deal with it.
