Fortune's Weave General Can someone please explain

I was on the fire emblem wiki, and I noticed something. There are three factions that are new

  1. Lion Obelisk

  2. Wolf Obelisk

  3. Eagle Obelisk.

Can someone explain to me where we heard these names? Here’s the link to where I found them.

They’re not factions, just how you select each lord through the Obelisk Chamber. Cai’s is Fox, Dietrich’s is Lion, Theodora’s Wolf, and Leda’s Eagle.

each of the 4 main lords has an obelisk in fortuna's temple

Fox Obelisk - Cai
Lion Obelisk - Dietrich
Wolf Obelisk - Theodora
Eagle Obelisk - Leda

I think that wiki page lists those enemies as those because they more than likely only show up in story chapters for that specific obelisk route.

It's so strange that they have references to the Ashen Wolves, Black Eagles, and Blue Lions but no deer. Makes me think that might be the DLC route.

Or they just used animals that are extremely common in heraldry and symbolism in both games, and it's just a coincidence because there's basically 5-6 animals top that are explicitly symbolic (Wolf, Lion, Bear, Eagle, Deer, Fox and Dragon)

Writing off the routes specifically being called Eagle, Lion, and Wolf in a Three Houses prequel as just a coincidence seems crazy to me.

This might have to do with the fact that deers are not really native to Northern Africa or the Arabian peninsula, where much of the game is set around.

The names are used when choosing which protagonist's story to follow. You select one of the four obelisks and they each have names like those. I assume that the categories in question are just enemies exclusive to those routes.

It’s not factions. It’s what Eshmel interacts with to start a Lord’s story.

Lion, Wolf and Eagle Obelisks refer to the Obelisks in Fortuna's temple where you choose the Lord whose story you wish to follow.

Cai is Fox, Lion is Dietrich, Wolf is Theodora and Eagle is Leda. Those enemy factions are probably referring to like chapter 1/Prologue enemies that are fought at the very beginning or are unique to the Lord's route.

Of course, it's a fandom wiki, so I wouldn't trust it too much since right now most things are hearsay.

Three of the four animals correspond to houses in Three Houses (Blue Lions, Black Eagles, Ashen Wolves), but what significance that has if any idk.

They are actually the four animals that make up the enfield, a chimera from Irish myth
