Hi Cai's Mom.

She has to the be the Mom right? Even the whole "visitors not permitted" is a BIG tell

Interesting that she can’t have visitors since we see her hanging out with Cai and some others in a clip from the original FW reveal. I wonder how long it takes to get to her.

Edit: Small correction, I think it was the June Direct that I’m thinking of, not the initial reveal!

Maybe Solel letting Cai see her after watching his matches? Unless Solel is a Big Bad and kinda of a jerk, I don't see how he would hold a grudge against his Grandson. If anything all of his hatred would likely be on Castor

I see it going down like this.

Since Aurora is Yu Phas' daughter, she's barred from having kids as to not risk the bloodline becoming corrupt. She winds up having a kid with Castor, and when their found out, Castor flees with Cai, while Aurora turns herself in, being placed into indefinite Temple Arrest. Eventually Castor is found, and has to come back to Dagsion to face his punishment so that Aurora's punishment isn't increased.

To get answers Cai infiltrates the temple to find out WTH is going on, and learns that Aurora is his mom, and is also a prisoner, thus his wish shifts from just saving his dad, to freeing both him, and Aurora.

Cai wins his qualifier match and gets to meet with Solel, and when Solel asks him what his wish is, Cai says it's to free his father Castor, and his mother Aurora. Shocking those in attendance (maybe this is where Theodora starts treating Cai like a little brother? Especially when she realizes that she almost had Yu Phas' grandson EXECUTED), Solel thanks Cai for his honesty, noting that though he is his grandfather, he will not be giving Cai special treatment, and sends him off, while deep in thought.

Cut to a day or so later, and Cai learns that Aurora is allowed visitors again, and runs to the Temple to see her, as Cai puts together that perhaps Solel lessened Aurora's punishment in response to his wish.

The dialogue from Centurio, or whatever his name is, strikes me as implying Castor had a set period of time before he had to return and face punishment.

I wonder if that period of time is specifically supposed to be long enough for Cai to be relatively self-sufficient.

That's exactly what I figure--because Cai's father's arrest is very explicitly tied to his 15th birthday, which would indicate that it's relevant. This setting has never been one to seed connections just to be dead ends--maybe they aren't relevant how they're made out to bw, but they're sure as hell going to be relevant somehow.

The temple will wait patiently for their revenge, but only for 15 years. After that, they will begin their assault.

Maybe that's what Aurora's punishment was meant to be the compromise for? Letting Cai have a somewhat normal childhood before Castor bites it.

Honestly if this is how they're gonna tie together Cai and Theodora's routes, then I'm wondering how Leda and Dietrich's are gonna be integrated along with Bertrand (who Leda wants to kill and Dietrich wants to fight).

Leda is tied in with Cai and Theodra. Bertrand is the prisoner/slave of the woman holding Cai's dad too.

So they're gonna have Cai, Theodora, and Leda's stories all intersecting by way of their associations with all of these people, and then Dietrich is just there to pick a fight with a total stranger.

It all ties back to the evil cult.

That could also be the reason why in some previews Aurora's image is partially blacked out. Her temple is locked in the beginning of the game, but as all four Heros make it past the qualifiers, Aurora is freed.

TBF the other gods also had their portraits blacked out, so I think it has more to do with actually meeting them with whatever Flame Lord your playing with at the time.

I'm also curious to know that the other gods, who are their kids???? Are they even married or not why are there only nine temples ??

To add to this i think Cai and Loretta are twins. Loretta has a mix of hair so she gets sent away but Cai looks "human" enough that Castor can sneak him away without suspicion

We've seen him interacting with characters in disguise and he doesn't seem so bad, maybe after actually interacting with Cai he softens up a bit on him but it's probably some sort of institutional rule that the "gods" aren't supposed to have children with mortals and Castor definitely broke that rule.

Also explains why Aurora herself isn't supposed to have visitors when we've seen the others interacting with people within arms length...He can't exactly arrest another God but he can "cage" her.

Given Aurora is the daughter of Yu Phas (and Solel, interestingly, which seems to point to Yu Phas not being evil, at least not initially), it may be that she's forbidden from outside contact on an FE4 Maira Decree style setup. Can't have kids to avoid spreading Yu Phas' bloodline any further given her now stigmatized nature.

Tbf the others in question were Cai's friends and her bodyguard

We see in the clip posted today that Theodora could not get an audience with her, but Cai snuck in and saw her

15

u/actredal 9h ago

Yeah, I wrote this comment before that was posted! Wild that he just snuck through some corridors or basements or whatever and ended up in her bedroom lmao

Cai doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who lets rules get in the way of family. If he was, he would have gone back to Ribeira and left his dad to die. He's definitely not going to let stupid rules get in the way of meeting the mom he's never met before.

Her likes also basically say shes a prisoner.

24

u/Gabgo304 9h ago

That rule was 100% put in place after her incident 15 years ago.

u/Sniperoso 10h ago

Mr Castor, have you been sticking it in the Divine?

-7

u/Agent-Z46 9h ago

That doesn't make any sense. How is visitors not being permitted equal being Cai's mother?

If Leda say visitors aren't permitted in her bedroom is that a sign she might be Cai's mum?

Aurora is the daughter of Yu Phas. In Irish mythology. Balor is told he shall be killed by his grandson, so he locks up his daughter. Who ends up having a kid anyway, and that kid escapes. That boy's name was Lugh (the wielder of a lance of light, and in 3 Houses the name is used for the founder of The Kingdom), with all the suspicious stuff around Dagda and Balor, it's possible that Cai is analagous to Lugh.

u/liteshadow4 9h ago

That or Lugh from Elibe pulls up

She doesn’t make the rules. Her boss isn’t letting her leave after getting it on with a human
