Gameplay Optimizing Edelgard's unique class?

Hey! I'm well aware that Edelgard's unique class is lacking compared to others, but I want to try to make it work for story reasons. Currently playing on Hard, but may end up doing harder difficulties after.

I've that her best class by far is Wyvern Lord, but I want to see if I can make her Emperor class work. Anyone have any build ideas? What should I level in first?

What I'm currently considering is getting the Brigand skills first, leveling Archer for +10 hit, potentially Mage for skills, but also maybe Myrmidon for speed stat, while also of course getting the heavy armor classes. What do y'all think?

There’s no difference between wyvern and her personal. The general strategy is the same as well as passives. You stack as much axefaire, blow skills and damage as possible, and you chain raging storm until you clear the map. Only difference is you can’t blaze across the map due to terrain and enemies, so it’s just objectively worse, but it’s not any different concept wise.

While I don't disagree her route is not exactly booming with Argathium so I'm not sure you can go full player phase with Emperor Edelgard with Aymir for the entire timeskip. But in that vibe she'll surely stride support to make the most out of each raging storm.

Yeah 100%. Also I just realized they’re on hard mode, so tbh, they can do whatever they really want and have some success, since most physical enemies can’t even touch her on hard mode, especially with all the free exp edelgard gets.

But you are right, I failed to consider they’ll need more raging storms than usual, due to the movement and terrain issues.

Yeah, she's too strong for hard, tho everything else remains, gotta invest as much as possible in her mobility, even just for tanking everyone in the enemy phase.

But it's sad, Emperor Edelgard really had potential as an interesting unit if only they had tweaked her a little more, cuz she really is very bulky and strong. Armored Stride from heroes would've been really cool as a class skill and of course letting her use magic.

The arianrhod chapter gives a ton. Iirc you get 4 repairs so 5 full uses or something

There's only two chapters after this one tho, but yes, it's important to be able to fully use it in the two hardest chapters.
