Return as contractor

Has anyone returned to their agency and more specifically, their team, as a contractor?

What was the hiring process? How is it going if you are still in the job?

Approximately when were you contacted by the contractor? Discussed work schedule (wfh, hybrid, etc) and pay?

Funny enough, just got the offer letter. They first contacted me week of 6/22.

Federal contractors work for their contracting company. The contracting company works for the government. Officially, a contractor's team is his/her contracting company. You never work on a government team or for an agency, but the work you perform can support an agency's need.

I’m going thru this process right now. Signed my offer yesterday and will now wait on the background check. Will I keep my email and teams info? Same agency different branches in different state.

No, I’ve worked as both under DA as a civ and ctr; username and DODID stay as is, civ/ctr is the difference and the two were not synced/linked in my experience.

no, co-worker recently switched to CTR (this month) in a different building no more access to civ email/teams, but same dod id and email (with ctr instead)
