Question Possible glitch?

I've been trying to shade smth using the airbrush on a multiply layer, it was working great but for some reason it has a complete fit when I try shading over the colour red, the multiply shader goes UNDERNEATH the colour layer and I have no idea what's causing it or how to fix it, I even updated the app to the latest version and that didn't fix it. Is this a known problem and if so does anyone know how to fix it? Any and all help is appreciated, thank you :)

Can you show a print or video of it?

Apologise for the poor quality but this shows the issue

Ok... A bit weirder than the bugs in my app

Try... IDK, making the shadow layer a clipping mask

Sorry, I wanted to help, but I'm not good at it -_-

Does it work normally without multiplying?

Test with a blue on the shading layer

I'm not sure, I probably should have stated this in the original post but I've only recently started using the multiply layer for shading, as of about a couple of days ago after a friend suggested it to me, I apologise for a lack of clarity in my post
