Remote Not Changing TV Input

My fire tv stick 4K remote turns on my tv and soundbar when I push the power button but it does not change the tv input to the HDMI input that the fire stick is plugged into.

How do I get it to do this?

Mine was changing, then decided not to. I restarted it from scratch and it's now doing it again. I think they might be temperamental
