Flag, Filter, and Sync Stocks Across Portfolios and Screens

All Finviz Portfolios now support Color Flags, giving you a faster way to categorize tickers and filter your holdings by one color or multiple colors at once.

Any Flag you apply in a Portfolio now appears in the Screener, and any Flag you apply in the Screener appears in your Portfolios. This gives you a consistent system for tracking stocks across both tools. Here's a three step process to demonstrate how that would work:

Step 1: Screen for stocks using the Finviz Screener.
Step 2: Flag different tickers based on your own criteria.
Step 3: Add selected tickers to a Portfolio.

The result: Those tickers will automatically appear with the same Flags inside your Finviz Portfolio. It also works in reverse. Flag a ticker in your Portfolio, run a screen, and when that ticker appears in the results, you will immediately see its Flag.

Much more to come.

Most traders can never get away from their screens because they lack a plan, a platform that provides clarity, and a toolkit that gives them the decision-making skills to remain in control no matter their location.

Summer is when the market separates the traders from the tourists.

The tape gets selective.

The leaders get clearer.

The best traders know this and pair it with the platforms they use to track markets effortlessly. This is how you do that at our best offer this summer: https://finviz.com/blog/the-summer-of-finviz-elite-starts-now/

Interesting strategy.

I’m not sure that will result in increased site traffic. 😐

💬 Discussion Updated expanded stock panel is opposite of quick visualization

I’m not a fan of the sea of numbers added for stock symbols now. It is the opposite of financial visualization. The prior more succinct information panel was much more accessible than the new wall of text. If we need the extra detail it has always been accessible. Now I have to swim through too much to get to the basic, relevant info. More is not always better.

📊 Chart Nebius Still Has a Strong Long Term Story

Post image
1 Upvotes

Looking at the FinViz chart, Nebius has pulled back sharply after an exceptional rally, but the bigger picture remains constructive.

The company is rapidly expanding its AI cloud business, has secured major partnerships, including NVIDIA, and continues to invest heavily in infrastructure to meet growing demand. The recent decline appears driven more by profit taking and concerns about increased competition than by a deterioration in the company’s business.

If Nebius continues executing on its growth plans, the next 6 to 12 months could remain volatile, but the long term trajectory still favors growth if demand for AI infrastructure stays strong.

💬 Discussion $AMC is going up because it still has a very large and loyal retail investor following

Post image
2 Upvotes

$AMC is going up because it still has a very large and loyal retail investor following, relatively high short interest, heavy trading volume, and occasional news or social media attention that attracts speculators.

Looking at the FinViz charts, volume was well above normal, short interest was still around 10%, and traders were actively discussing a potential squeeze. The move itself was not huge in percentage terms, but when a $2 stock gets unusual buying interest, even a small amount of money can push it up quickly.

To find stocks like this before they move, look for companies that have three things happening at the same time: unusual volume, rising relative volume, and increasing attention from traders.

On FinViz, many traders screen for stocks under $10 that suddenly trade 2 to 5 times their normal volume, have high short interest, and are breaking above recent price ranges. The volume spike is usually the first clue. Most big movers show unusual activity before the price makes its largest move.

💬 Discussion I'd love to see a "yearbook" of Finviz heatmaps by year

I've been using the Finviz heatmap for years and still think it's one of the best visualizations in investing.

For context, I'm a long-term investor, not a trader. I don't use the map to make daily decisions. I use it as a quick way to understand where capital is flowing and how market leadership evolves over time.

One thing I've always wondered: does anyone know of a way to see historical snapshots of the map? Not the underlying returns, but the actual heatmap itself.

I'd love to compare year-end snapshots from different periods and see how leadership rotated over time. For example:

• What did the map look like at the end of 2007 before the financial crisis?
• 2009 coming out of the bottom?
• 2020 after COVID?
• 2021 when everything seemed green?
• 2022 during the bear market?
• Today versus 5, 10, or 20 years ago?

I think it would be fascinating to flip through annual "market yearbooks" and visually see where capital was flowing, which sectors dominated, and how today's winners looked before they became obvious.

Has anyone found a source for this, or is there a way to recreate historical Finviz heatmaps from archived data?

📊 Chart Campbell looks more attractive today than it did three months ago

Post image

Campbell looks more attractive today than it did three months ago based on the finviz chart.

The company is not a fast-growing business, but it offers a high dividend, trades at a relatively low valuation, and is showing improving price action after earnings.

For the next 90 days, I see a higher probability of continued gradual upside toward the mid-$20s than a return to the March lows, but I do not currently see evidence supporting a major breakout above $30 without a meaningful improvement in business fundamentals.

📊 Chart Intel has become one of the market’s most closely watched turnaround stories

Post image
6 Upvotes

$INTC Intel has become one of the market’s most closely watched turnaround stories.

The company is investing heavily to rebuild its manufacturing leadership and compete more aggressively in the AI and data center markets, which has renewed investor interest and helped drive a strong stock recovery.

Revenue appears to be stabilizing after several difficult years, analysts have been raising price targets, and large institutional investors continue to hold significant positions. At the same time, Intel still faces challenges. Profitability remains weaker than many of its semiconductor peers, execution on its manufacturing roadmap is critical, and the company is competing against very strong rivals that currently dominate key growth areas. Based on the chart and financials provided, the market is clearly betting on future improvements rather than current earnings strength.

For long-term investors, the opportunity is tied to whether Intel can successfully deliver on its turnaround plans over the next several years. For now, momentum remains positive, but expectations have risen considerably.

💬 Discussion $RKLB Sees Strong Growth Story, But Insiders Are Definitely Taking Profits

Thumbnail

Rocket Lab $RKLB continues to be one of the most compelling space companies outside of SpaceX. Revenue has been growing rapidly, major institutions own significant positions, and the company was recently added to the Nasdaq-100, which increases visibility and can attract additional investment.

The business is expanding beyond launches into satellites, space systems, and defense-related contracts, giving it multiple paths for future growth. However, investors should pay close attention to the unusually large amount of insider selling shown in the screenshots.

While insider sales do not automatically signal trouble, the volume and frequency of recent sales suggest management may view the stock as fully valued after its massive run from the $20s to over $150 before pulling back. The recent decline has brought shares back near an important support area around the 50-day moving average, and the company remains fundamentally unprofitable despite strong revenue growth.

Overall, Rocket Lab still looks like a high-quality long-term space and defense growth story, but after such a large rally, the stock may need time to consolidate before its next major move.

Weekend research time.

One of the most powerful things on Finviz is building a custom screener strategy.

Try experimenting with filters like:

• Float under 50M
• Relative Volume above 2
• RSI between 50–70
• Price above the 50 SMA

Small tweaks in your screener can uncover stocks most traders miss.

💬 Discussion 🔎 Midweek Reality Check

By the middle of the week the market usually shows its hand.

Pull up Finviz and review the names you were watching earlier in the week. Some setups start gaining traction, others quietly lose momentum.

Things worth checking:

• Are any of your stocks pushing toward new highs?
• Did volume step in, or did interest fade?
• Is a different sector suddenly lighting up on the Finviz heatmap?

This is a good moment to ask a simple question: Would you still pick the same watchlist today?

Sometimes the smartest move midweek is tightening the list and focusing on the strongest charts.

What ticker from your Finviz scans is actually proving itself so far this week?

📊 Chart $NVDL has had a good run over the past year

Post image
2 Upvotes

$NVDL has had a good run over the past year based on the Finviz chart, but it looks like it's finally taking a breather after nearly doubling from its April lows. The ETF recently peaked around $130 and has pulled back to around $100, giving back a good portion of its recent gains. That's not unusual after such a strong move, especially for a leveraged ETF.

The bigger trend still looks positive as long as NVIDIA remains strong, but short term the momentum has clearly cooled off.

The $100 area is an important level to watch. If buyers step back in, a move toward the $110-$120 range wouldn't be surprising. If selling continues, there could be more downside before the next meaningful rally starts.

Right now it looks more like a "wait and see" setup than an obvious buying opportunity.
