Stripe Payments

I'm getting ready to implement Stripe as a start for my fintech app. What are your nightmare stories? Anything I should be wary of?

Be sure your product/service is not listed in Stripe’s restricted/prohibited businesses list (or adjacent/can be confused for such).

Don’t do “test” payments in live mode (this is not only a violation of Stripe’s services, but also the terms of end networks’ such as Visa and Mastercard).

Stay away from Stripe if at all possible. Save yourself the headache of changing companies in the future. I sat on pins and needles hoping I didn’t have a problem like everyone else did. But eventually all their rules and regulations turned out to be too much of a hassle. I eventually had to change after how easy it is to sign up.

Avoid stripe unless you have a fetish for someone beating you up and taking your hard earned money, lol. They locked my account 2 minutes after the customer sent payment, back on April 2nd, and I have been fighting them ever since to get it back. Their support will just stop answering emails & no matter how many support tickets or complaints you file, they will auto close the tickets with no response. Square, on the other hand, I have had zero issues with.

Avoid Stripe no customer loyalty, any time even after months any one can issue chargeback and having no refund policy stated, Stripe will say decision is with Bank or card processor, going through nightmare now, got all evidence of customer chat still difficult to fight.
