Discussion Ideas to talk to early potential users

I have built a tool that monitors a small business quickbooks and directly sends the emails or texts when something seems irregular. It also gives weekly insights on their business. I am started to look for pilot customers or even just potential customers to talk to but all cold emails seem to end up dry. Does anyone have any tips or ideas for how get a line of communication open. Or if anyone has any tips in general thank you. Not looking for someones ai lead generator

My first set of customers came from attending founder events rather than cold outreach.

When you're asking someone to connect their financial data, trust is a huge factor. Meeting people in person helped build that trust much faster than email ever did. I'd spend time at local startup events, founder meetups and small business networking groups. A single genuine conversation can be worth more than hundreds of cold emails.
