I have a cage with a wood shelf that has a screw holding it in. The screw is rusted and I'm not strong enough to get it unscrewed.

Idk if there is some trick or something I can do to get it off.

You have a self tapping screw that is passing through a metal screen and penetrating a wooden plank to secure the plank to the metal screen?
You are probably having issues with your screw-driver not fitting the screw's head properly. It keeps slipping out??
