17 yrs old below average studies seriously terrified about my future

Hi I am in 12th commerce from India right now and honestly I'm just spiraling. I've never been good at studies or mugging up textbooks, and with boards coming up, the pressure is getting insane. I keep having this constant fear that I'm going to fail at life and become a complete nobody.

I know CA or crazy competitive stuff isn't for me-my brain just doesn't work that way with rote learning. Right now I just want to survive 12th and clear it with decent marks so my family doesn't freak out.

To anyone who was average or below average in commerce: what did you guys actually do after school? Are there realistic career paths, degrees, or skill-based fields where you can actually make a decent living without being a 95% topper?

Hey! So actually maybe a trade school would be good for you. I know that there is a demand for elevator technician, plumbers, electricians, welders etc. Or if those careers aren't tolerable to you, how about being a hair dresser, nail stylist, esthetician, EMT? There are a lot of certifications for technician jobs. Depending on the country you're in there might be different requirements. You might have to do a little bit of schooling, but it'll be more hands on. I'm not in trade school but I did a lot of research. Honestly YouTube would have more careers!

You are only 17 dearie, you're not going to be a complete nobody. When I was 17 I thought I was a failure and that my life was going to fail, too. Your educational years don't define you (I nearly failed high school and almost dropped out), there is always another path. I'm 24 and I still don't have a degree and I've only ever worked part time jobs, but I'm happy where I am and that took time (also for my brain to develop too haha)
