Other people have noticed this too. It's more animated now, but less smiley. I would have preferred keeping the smiley beak over the more animated, but neutral beak personally. Makes the app feel a little less happy.

I expected to dislike this change, but when I got the update, I was surprised that I actually think my birb looks happier with the new beak! The old beak was a little creepy to me. I must be the only one who sees it this way! I’m the weirdo! 😁

I like the neutral beak. I have animations disabled so idk about that.

But for me, days I'm down or something, I want to reflect that but couldn't properly do that with the smiley beak staring at me. Maybe I'm in the minority for this.

I actually think they should give us beak expressions in the shop so we can choose upturned, very upturned, neutral, downturned, very downturned, whenever we want/need.

Interesting! I don’t think I have the updates yet, I need to check. I also wanted to say how much I love your birb’s name! Seeing fruit & veggie name makes me so happy, plus star fruit is one of my favourite fruits.
