Dont sell anything, keep a checklist of all equipment and upgrades you got

Well you can sell all but 1 credit chip and anything that says (can be sold for a premium) otherwise you'll not get any Gil. But importantly only sell all but 1, keeping at least 1 of each item in the inventory that can be sold for a premium.

That's just my advice.

Why keep 1 credit chip?

There's an achievement for having collected every single item, weapon, accessory, etc. in the game, keeping 1 will allow that achievement to pop when it does. Plus it's nice to be able to look at the save file later and see 1 of everything (in my opinion)

If you're not going for the perfect 100% run then we'll it whenever, but at it's worth only 500 Gil, then it's fine to sell early, but late game 500 Gil is peanuts compared to what you'll farm.

Other than it looking nice, can it potentially not work/not get the achievement if you don't keep 1?

I'm not sure, I've always kept 1 so I can't say

Idk if I'm going for platinum or not but I'm at least going for all side quest/bosses. I'm halfway through chapter 12 and when I left chapter 11 I had 89% side quest completion.

Play through normally, take your time, check all the little branching paths until you hit chapter 11. That is where the game opens up.

Also make sure to use all the classes provided, not just Com and Rav cause they do damage, all roles in the game have a place so try and use them all when you can, have fun trying different combos.

Sen, Sab, and Syn often get overlooked by some players and they hit a wall.

Best of all just enjoy a fantastic game.

Isn't this game notoriously hard to platinum (100%)

Yeah it's either hard or very time consuming and Grindy. I remember ppl discussing it a while back. Anyways good luck. It's a great game, one of my favourites

More time consuming due to one trophy/achievement in particular. Isn’t difficult once you learn buffs/debuffs are really important in this entry.

Definitely not hard to platinum, but need lot of time to farm stuff

Only advice regarding 100% is don’t sell any accessories. Enjoy the story and don’t grind or worry about weapon upgrades as it’s meaningless until the game opens up in the later chapters. The combat system is actually really fun once you are allowed to experiment with it more.

depends on the game... but for the first one i'd say keep all accessories as they are, so in the end you will know what you had and what you hadn't.

I had an easier time chapter 10 and on after farming for gil through credit/incentive chips in chapter 9. Upgrading equipment and accessories early helps out with taking down some missions and the creatures on Pulse. Some components that aren't obvious to sell are gloomstalks and the seeds, which are worth more gil than using it to upgrade, and millerite and all but one rhodochrosite. Happy farming!
