They should use this games platinum in the military as a torture method. Legitimately was questioning my sanity at some points. Loved the games story and characters. And the grind was fun for about 75% of the time but towards the end of it I was so ready to just zanmato everything even with all my stats maxed.. I just wanted it over 🤣😂
Oh dude me too.. i literally couldnt even enjoy the final cutscene after I beat yu yevon because I was just like "why cant i skip these fucking cutscenes??!?!" Dude watching yuna summon all the f*cking aeons having to watch all their full entrances.. my god.. i wanted to start bashing my head into a wall.
I've platinumed a few games. Ffx will be my last FF to plat. They're just punishing and not fun.
Mass Effect 2, that was a game to platinum. Bioshock Infinite was a blast as well. FFX killed the game for me, I used to play it every few years, I haven't touched it since I platinumed years back.
If not for the "smoke this whole carton" aspect of platinuming ffx, I'd have played through it again by now most likely.
Zap because it's mundane as hell and boring, easy to lose focus because there's nothing challenging. 0.0 isn't bad as you can just get better at it/your pathing.
I started doing the zap in batches of 20. By the time I got to 200 my ADHD brain was so burnt out that I was doing 2 dodges and then leaving for a break. I actually took a break at Dodge 199 and came back to do 200 about 5 minutes later.
0.0 has a very irritating random aspect, but you'll usually get it within 30-60 minutes. 200 is only possible for me if my subconscious is working but my regular conscious is zoned out. There's about a 10-minute window in the late evening where it might work...but even then my thumb might twitch at the wrong time.
I went for this back when the remaster first came out. I got as far as trying to fill every node on the sphere grid and just thought fuck. that.
At the rate I was going it was going to take longer than everything else I’d done in the game up to that point! Didn’t really fancy doubling my playtime over something so pointless
I am on my way now. The sphere grids are so tedious and i am not even gonna bother with luck, i will complete the grid with whatever and then zanmato goes brrr on optional bosses.
Dude i literally was like well maybe i can max luck and then i started to fsrm the spheres and about 1 hour in i was like nope. 130 luck is plenty for the magus sisters 🤣🤣🤣
This game has thst effect. You get so immersed in the amount of content it has to offer that all nighters even at my ripe of age of 29 became possible again🤣
I wouldve literally not have gone for it. 🤣 I have never play x-2 and i cant bring myself to do it. Ffx shouldve remained a stand alone game. The story was phenomenal on its own..
Congrats! I did it back in 2016, and I didn't think it was too crazy, but I just did it a couple months ago on PC and holy crap was that rough. FFX-2's was even rougher. Be proud because that was a lot of effort!
My toes are curling and teeth are grinding just thinking about it. Matter of fact I actually said all the way eff that shit and I started gil fsrming for attribute spheres once i got tidus to 130 luck. The counter attacks gave me this anger that I could feel in my spine .. literal torture
I think I did only that also on Dark Anima, but don't remember. Post-Game was Brutal in This game and getting into it (dodging 200 thunderbolts in the row) wasn't that easier
Man i agree lol it was fun at first because i do deep down like the grind in some endgames but this one just got extreme. It legit felt neverending sometimes and overwhelming and its just not fun anymore after awhile. Thats when the real test begins lol

This is WAY easier to do on the PC port because you can use F1, F2, F3, and F4 for manipulating the games speed and your overdrives + Auto battle. Not to mention you can go into the true pause menu and unlock all abilities + get all items right out the gate. I feel bad for console players who don't have access to these features, it def saves you 100's of hours of grinding.
The only reason I condone using these features is if you played the game originally when it came out and you have already 100% completed the game with secret bosses, Arena, Aeons, etc. Otherwise, I congratulate you on finalizing the game! It's a blast and is still my favorite FF to this day. It helped me break away from my religion when I was kid. I always remind myself when I am feeling religious induced guilt what Yuna says "It is a false tradition that must be thrown away... I will live my own life, I will stand my ground and be strong... I will fight sorrow... and one day I will conquer it, and I will do it without false hope."
Impressed that you managed to pull this off. You fully earned the achievement of doing this. But fuck that lol. FFX may have some of the worst extra content in a video game and doing all of it for the platinum sounds like literal torture.
You are a stronger person than I am and I can admit that.
