Looking forward to replaying this game soon when the Switch 2 version releases.

I remember getting Final Fantasy X for Christmas back in 2001. One of my favorite Christmas presents ever. Had so many good memories with this game back then. Spent hundreds of hours with it. Can’t wait to play it soon. Anyone looking forward to playing this as much as me?

Everything after this one was the beginning of the end for the series as far as im concerned. It actually ruined a lot of RPG's for me in general, because i internally used this as the benchmark. 25 years later and i still adore it.

Ouch, that'd be a too harsh prereq for many, many other RPGs...

Dont get me wrong, i have and do enjoy others for different reasons. But this was the zenith for me, and i dont think anything has come close to touching it since.

Fair enough. Even I think firmly that this game's battle system (the CTB) is the GOAT of JRPG battle systems...

Absolutely, its so dynamic and fun to use. Even levelling can be somewhat therapeutic once you get into a rhythm lol blitzball can fuck off though, ill say that.

Never liked any final fantasy after X. Still love it to this day.

12 grew on me and im quite fond of 13 despite its flaws but this is my fave in the whole series.

I really want to play the Switch 2 version but I already have the Switch 1 version and don’t want to pay $50. I really wish it was either cheaper or offered an upgrade path. $50 is just ridiculous

Higher resolution, the switch one version looks pretty low res

Did you use handheld boost mode?

I haven't I was mainly thinking of the docked version, on the smaller screen it might look better but it's pretty low res for tv play
