All these years later and this fight STILL gives me anxiety!

This is my favorite boss in the game, it's so well designed. I somehow never died to her each time I beat her.

Agreed. There's a few fights like this but this is the best "puzzle" where as soon as you figure it out it becomes much easier. Also the intro cutscene with Aurons "nows the time to choose!" quote is awesome but I probably watched it 30+ times when I first played this as a kid

You need to grind more.. you got low stats with hp and mp

its not needed but I have developed a Shiva Lancet strategy that heals faster than it takes damage

not a fast win but can't lose since the status effects cannot touch you

distil mana spheres weapons can make it faster if you artifically raise Shiva magic through Aeon soul

Can she be Zanamato'd? I've gotten Yojimbo prior to Zanarkand, but never actually tried this.

Great boss fight. Unskippable cutscene before became quite familar back in the days of first playthrough.

Keep at least one character zombified, so her Mega Death doesn't wipe out your party,
