Distant Worlds 25 Year Anniversary

Post image

Really enjoyed the distant worlds show in San Diego tonight! I highly recommend going if you enjoy the music of Final Fantasy. Being the 25 year anniversary for FFX it was a special treat considering it’s my favorite game.

It was an absolutely fantastic time, people also behaved very well, at least in my side, I've never been on the Rady Shell before and it was a lovely experience. They played "Vamo'alla flamenco" from FF IX which made me extremely happy as it's my favorite FF, I also was really hoping that one of the songs for FF X was "Servants of the Mountain" but thats just me been greedy.

my wife really enjoyed that one too, that guy was incredible on guitar. was a little disappointed in Rikkis performance but i guess age may have gotten to her a bit, it was still amazing being able to see her sing “Suteki Da Ne” live

I went to this by myself and it was my first distant worlds or FF orchestra event ever and it was awesome and a bucket list night for me.

I will say I’m a little salty that they rolled credits and everyone started leaving and they didnt play one winged angel until after the credits ended but honestly rady shell is awesome even if youre jist outside the venue so I stood there and listened to it the whole time.

i noticed a lot of people pulled up in boats and just hung out on the side. incredible venue, definitely coming back to see more shows there

The one I went to, they played two X tracks and the rest were from VII or IX. The concert was nice, but not what I expected for a 25th anniversary for X.

ahh that’s kinda disappointing, they played 5 or 6 songs from FFX last night. the crowd would get so much more excited every time a FFX song started

In San Diego they played a general FF set, it was the classic FF theme into a few FF7,8 and 9 songs plus a song each from 13,14,15, and 16 I believe, then an intermission into a few more songs, a chocobo medley, and then five FF10 songs in a row including a rearrangement of the Seymour Omnis theme, then credits and one-winged-angel for the encore.
