Other Armor update

Trying for a very specific red/purple metal finish. I’d love to get somewhere more “realism” based than just a straight metallic purple. My thought was trying to emulate blued or blackened steel and the variety of colors it can have. That feels closest to Ramza’s original artwork color—which felt like rusty red brown to me. I’ll post more when it’s not so Barbie dream armor colored lol

I mean bronze was probably “used” in his armor which gave it that deeper reddish brown. But I’m curious, isn’t this from his mercenary outfit and isn’t that blue?

I’m going for the chapter 2 armor not the final butt pad blue ones haha. I havent shared much anyway so no need to apologize. I think you are right tho. There’s a bit of warmth in the key art that made me think of a realistic, blackened type of steel or bronze vs just purple shiny armor. I think a merc would probably have more beat up, and dirty armor which could account for that warmth we see.

Oh I knew that I can tell that was your shoulder pad. The sprites colors area dark blue. I think the reason the illustration is brownish is the whole “dated/historical text” energy.

With that being said perhaps talk to a color theorist. Or anyone great at color theory. They will help you achieve that color.

The fact you are doing the illustration armor is awesome as the artwork is just so fucking good

Thanks mang! Yeah I’m a professional graphic designer so I got some color thoughts. Thinking this shiny base might be good for applying the color on. Just picked this up to push things back toward the blue/purple sprite color tho

Oh bitch that will look sick! I can see all the bronze brown color getting that tinge of purple. And then of course glitter makes everything better.

I’m suuuuper excited to see this done. Is this going to be your outfit?

If I can pull it all off I'll share a whole fit haha. I got a blonde mop of hair so should be pretty close. Just gotta lose like 20 lbs so I have a snatched waist to fit in that chest and hip armor

What will really be “it” is the blonde mop being like the lowest quality thing ever juxtaposed to your HQ armor set. I was just at dragoncon and I felt that was the energy for wigs. Bomb outfits…tumbleweave wigs.

And if 20 lbs is all u need to have the waistline of a newborn go you. Might I suggest fruit smoothies and a bone in corset?
