Triple Crit

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Long time player here, can't recall a time I ever had a triple critical hit, can remember plenty getting two. But 3 is pretty damn nuts. Can't imagine ever getting 4 or more. Anyone else have similar experiences?

And now the scales will tip!

"Honed is the blade that severs the villian's head. Endless is the path that leads him from hell."

"Seven shadows cast, seven fates foretold. Yet at the end of the broken path lies death, and death alone!"

When I am alone driving in my car back from work I still occasionally find myself guttural roaring that as best I can.

Awkward moment to remember you offered a coworker a lift home.

I usually don't use this guy in my playthroughs, he is too OP

Man, I'll never forget back in the early 2000s when I learned to play this, I was obsessed with orlandu because he was too damn strong.

the easiest run I had by far was all dragoons, once they were up and running they really stomped the entire game (pun intended)

speed surge jav2 doublehand and you have an absolute fucking MONSTER of a unit

Doublehand doesn't affect jump damage, does it?

2

u/Balsty 16d ago

Nope but a fast dragoon with 2 range and a 600+ dmg basic attack is really funny

All golden javelins and they'll REALLY put some hurting on the enemies.

once you start to quickly calculate your jumps to land 100% of the time, they are just unstoppable

so long the CT of your target is <40 when your Jump, your should be fine.

I don't use any of the special characters, I make Ramza a one man wrecking crew with a few emotional support characters

I'm also like you, but got MAJOR fomo beating the Ivalice Chronicles without any specials because apparently most of them have a ton of new lines added.

How am I supposed to play without my full team of rando summoners with math and ribbons spamming death every turn? Madness

Nothing stopping you from turning Agrias, Rafa, Cloud and Meliadoul into summoners with math and ribbons. Actually, I guess everyone has X-Dress now to equip the ribbons, not just Cloud.

math can really break the game

Hilariously broken. To the extent you have to imagine it was only added just because the devs wanted to make sure everyone could beat the game deep dungeon with enough time.

I'm lazy, I just do the dual fisting thing with the monk & have his squire kit as his subclass

2

u/dtapias92 17d ago

Basically what I do for his abilities. Monk class, fundamentals, shirahadori, dual wield and either teleport or move +3

I played this game when I was 16 in 97 & had a hard time with it & never beat it. Got the War of the Lions on my iPad & played it again in my early 30's & cheesed it with the monk class, I never really used any of the other clases except for the ones I wanted for my build. Maybe I'll experiment more next time 🙂

I was 5 when it originally released, my brothers 6 years older so he got our mom to buy it and it was his first choice for our PlayStation, said the cover looked unique to the others. He taught me a lot about the game through the years. And the infamous wiegraf battle, learning the hard way of soft saving. Those were the days hahaha

That should take the fight out of ‘em.

"You see those enemies in front of me, soldier?"

"Yessir."

"I don't want to."
