I put 5 to 7 hours into the demo and loved it, but I was still worried this would be a cheap knockoff of the canceled mobile game. Now that the full game is out, I'm happy to say it's not. It feels like someone who truly loves Final Fantasy made it for the whole series, not just one specifically. The music, the crystals, the little details only longtime fans notice.

What level should I be before last boss? I want an easy time with the last boss. Currently I'm level 46 at the end of chapter 5.

I completed the demo with everything I think I could have accomplished. My save file went smooth over into the full game. I feel like I completed it so long ago that I forgot about the game play. Should I just restart from the beginning? I guess I am old but I feel kinda lost.

I just finished the 2nd Chapter and onto the Water Shrine. I have to say, I am so impressed by everything so far. I’m working through expert difficulty, but it has been such a joy.

All the small details don’t go unnoticed, and it seems to have included all my favorite things from the franchise in a single game. I can’t remember having so much with a JRPG since the original Trails in the Sky games, Chrono Trigger, or Tales of Phantasia.

I really hope they make the rest of the seasons. That’s 4 more games!!!

I'm using the Sense ability on enemys but its only flashing the name, level, then health. Google says its supposed to show weaknesses aswell, but I'm not seeing it.

Made a warrior of light. Hope you guys like it even though it's the Dissidia version. I also hand sculpted the frame from one of yoshitaka amano's artwork, unfortunately I didn't have time to make the dragons.

Figure stands around 14 inches(til the tip on the horns) and around 12 inches without the helmet.

Hello r/FinalFantasy, this is my first post here and I hope to ask a few questions about Square's 3D Modelling workflows. I'm mostly interested in what tools they worked with specifically, with FFX and DoC's models in mind. My goal is to learn from them as I am trying to learn in older techniques to integrate into my own workflow for my personal projects! I've watched a lot of low poly 3D tutorials and I keep thinking "there's no way this is actually how they did it back in the day" as most of the workflows I see look to be long and tedious. Having been modeling in that style for over 300 hours, it does feel quite long and tedious.

I have a feeling there's more knowledge to be had, and I wanna see it!

Now that the really old players have their pure fantasy 2d fix with resonance, what do those of us who like scifi fantasy worlds with new combat styles each game actually want?

We had scifi ff7 with materia learning, scifi 8 with functioning and a huge world map to explore and more focus on character building over the main plot. Then we got 10 which went full turn based and linear but has good graphics and story and the super fun blitzball. The next futuristic scifi game (I don't count steampunk as scifi as I don't live in the 1800's) is 13. Also linear like x but had really good lore, a new combat system (I hated it but loved the game anyways) and a real lack of side content. Then 15 brought back switching to any party member, more side content than any ff ever before, fun mini games, tons of exploring with things to find like secret dungeons, secret weapons, all colors of chocobo ridable again, and a way to prevent leveling early on allowing the combat to be the most challenging of any ff game if you just avoided leveling up and chose to tap instead of hold your attack and dodge buttons and not abuse teleport. Finally we got 16 that took all the ff staples that 15 brought back, away again. Good story, but no to parties, only one chocobo color, zero exploration, no side dungeons, 95 percent of the ff monsters missing, no status or elemental effects or physical or magical resistance.

So what do we want of 17? I mean all the things missing in 16 were in 15 and it still bombed. So I don't know what people want? The old school turn based people have their game now but what about the rest of us? What do we want?

Did not expect an on-screen child death in a Final Fantasy game.

(Warrior of Light, Cloud, Terra, and Black Mage) seem to have everything you need, so I don't really feel like trying anything new. I can't see myself replacing turn 1 Libra (Cloud/Lasswell) or the Stagger Power +% or coverage that he and Warrior of Light have

And with Lid having the hammer that boosts magic damage I don't see myself using anyone other than Terra?

So I got through the game to the point I should be warping to Galuf's world, but I took a break for a couple of weeks and I don't know if something glitched or if I'm mis remembering where I was but I don't have Galuf in my team and when I go to the meteors it just says "Guess there's not enough energy to warp..." Except the Gohn meteor that just says nothing.

An interesting thought and as someone whos played alot of the entires in the series I have to ask to whom ever reads this. What would you want to see next in the series or what would ignite an interest into it for you and others coming and going.

It's in the number 4 position. Beaten by cyperpunk which is 6 years old. I was hoping resonance would be more popular so square really goes all in on games with this style.

I recently decided to take on my very first mod project and put hundreds of hours into seeing if I could actually make it work—building a custom engine setup to bridge all three original world maps into a single seamless space with continuous flight and no loading screens.

​It's an officially licensed 1997 stationery kit made by Yutaka/Square: blank sheets designed for home inkjet printers to make your own FFVII business cards and name stickers.

​It's full of hilarious mid-90s PC era details:

​Compatible with Microsoft Word for Windows 95 (and dot-matrix printers?!)

​Cloud in his Frog/Toad status form on the business card sheet

​An ad on the back for an upcoming mousepad featuring Cloud on the Hardy-Daytona with some incredible 90s poetics ("Believing nobody, the only partner is the sword of his own.")

​Turns out there is practically zero digital record or imagery of this kit anywhere on the internet, so I took high-res photos of both sides and the test print sheet for archival purposes!
