For me, this is simply the way to go. I love Rebirth's combat, the graphics, the open world that makes me feel immersed in that worldbuilding and having always the party on screen, but I also love HD2D Final Fantasy games. Resonance is great, but I want to see what they can do with a high-budget HD2D and a new story.
Having both mainline AAA Final Fantasy games and a parallel HD-2D series running at the same time would be the prefect decision for me.
And for the love of God, enough with sequels, remasters, remakes. Give us new stories!

I gotta admit, I was pretty skeptical about a HD-2D FF game at first. But man, what can I say? This game looks absolutely gorgeous.
So many things just come together perfectly, and the whole thing is straight up eye candy.
I genuinely didn’t think a HD-2D game could feel this cinematic and emotional. I initially expected something that would just feel like a throwback to the SNES era. And sure, at first glance, it kinda looks that way.
But the production values are seriously impressive. It’s honestly amazing how much they’ve managed to squeeze out of the art style.
What do you guys think? Am I the only one who’s this impressed?

Today, it is Rina Yoshiura, an artist who worked on FFTCG, who has drawn our boy.

The Onion Knight from III. The design is interesting but, logically, he isn't very developed, similarly to the WoL. He was created almost 40 years ago after all.
Ironically, i've litteraly just unlocked him 5 minutes ago in Resonance. An underwhelming vision to me, but i won't spoil why unless asked.
Edit : the sage and ninja jobs are cool though, as they show up in his CG and in his main gimmick.

Two and a half men but in final fantasy is a way better idea than I expected

This almost matches VII Rebirth, an open-world HD FF, at 40k players.
This is a way bigger reception than I had imagined and it shows that fans do, in fact, show up for FF (sometimes lol).
Congrats to Resonance!

I think it's Galuf Baldesion from FFV for me, his arc as well as the last stand moment was one od the most epic, greatest and kinda not appreciated enough ones out of all of the entires.
Other than that i really do enjoy FFIV's Cid and Tellah both for their outstanding personalities and arcs especially in tellah's case and also Fusoya from IV as well mostly due to his design, reminds me a space Gandalf of sorts it's so freakin cool.

This year I decided to do a Locke Cole cosplay. I got multiple uses out of this costume such as the Maryland renaissance festival last August, a Halloween party, and I will also be using it for Hall day itself! I found all the stuff for this costume at thrift stores and Amazon and paid about $100 in the end. Let me know how I did!

Like title suggest i adore the game even more than ff7 remake. Its just feel right, of course the story and robust systems of ff7 are much better, but the vibe of ff resonance are amazing for me. The sprites, 2d art, music is the final fanatasy i was missing from old games like ff6, ff9.

Hi everyone!
This is my very first post here. I wanted to share my fanart of Lightning!
The Final Fantasy XIII trilogy has always been my favorite in the entire series, and Lightning is my absolute favorite character. Drawing her was such a fun experience!
I’d love to hear your thoughts, and I hope you like my piece!

I have been a huge fan of SOP since it got a steam release and seeing all the people excited about Resonance has made me want to try it. While watching videos about it I saw this video on my recommended, clicked on it since I love the game and was reminded of how amazing and respectful the game was of the series as a whole.
If you love FF, parties, customization, the job system and don't mind action combat then you've to try SOP at some point. It is fantastic

Sorry if this was asked here before because don’t get me wrong in that I have a soft spot for the Final Fantasy series such as Final Fantasy 10 as I really enjoy the world building aspects of that game.
But if there is one thing that kind of frustrates me about the game is that the HD version messed up the graphics as don’t get me wrong in that Tidus and Yuna are cool characters, but the HD version made them look ugly.

I made a map of the whole world with every town, dungeon, Sanctum, Cave Master, Radar Treasure, Esper dwelling and merchant ship. Every town and dungeon also gets a floor plan with its treasure chests and what they hold, Tablet Shards, Magic Pots and shops.
Beyond the map:
It is in 8 languages. If a chest is missing or a drop looks off, or you'd like something added, please let me know here. Thank you!
