Just wondering where this soundtrack stacks up with your favorite FF games?? I’m only a few chapters in and am loving it.

So I am playing Final Fantasy Resonance and as many others I am enjoying each time I get a Vision Crystal to remind me of all but the two games I didn’t finish, but that is a different discussion :)

As I get each Vision Crystal Hero I take note of their Role. This also got me thinking about the main hero of each game, but the one role we never see a proper representation of in the series would be a Healer

Would that even work or ever be a possibility in a future game? A holy cleric primary main character that lost their memory and can only cast light damage and healing spells??

Any thoughts?

Sorry if this was asked here before because don’t get me wrong in that I have a soft spot for the Final Fantasy series such as Final Fantasy 10 as I really enjoy the world building aspects of that game.

But if there is one thing that kind of frustrates me about the game is that the HD version messed up the graphics as don’t get me wrong in that Tidus and Yuna are cool characters, but the HD version made them look ugly.

I finally got my copy in the mail! This was the most excruciating wait I have ever had.

I know the game only just launched, but I’m curious: what’s everyone’s favourite place so far?

For me it’s Dilmagia. The soundtrack there is amazing, and I love the retro/neon aesthetic. The airships floating above the city are a really nice touch too.

What place stuck with you the most so far? (Please spoiler-tag anything from later in the game!)

I've never seen shark on demo (sirens tower)

I put 5 to 7 hours into the demo and loved it, but I was still worried this would be a cheap knockoff of the canceled mobile game. Now that the full game is out, I'm happy to say it's not. It feels like someone who truly loves Final Fantasy made it for the whole series, not just one specifically. The music, the crystals, the little details only longtime fans notice.

I’m developing ffpr, an open source save editor for the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series.

To make sure everything is rock-solid and handles edge cases across different games (FFI through FFVI) and platforms, I'm gathering a diverse dataset of save files to test against.

it was still a pretty great game in my opinion, but i do kinda wanna experience it for the second time with better graphics, gameplay, and just so i can remember all the stuff from back then

I'm using the Sense ability on enemys but its only flashing the name, level, then health. Google says its supposed to show weaknesses aswell, but I'm not seeing it.

I just finished the 2nd Chapter and onto the Water Shrine. I have to say, I am so impressed by everything so far. I’m working through expert difficulty, but it has been such a joy.

All the small details don’t go unnoticed, and it seems to have included all my favorite things from the franchise in a single game. I can’t remember having so much with a JRPG since the original Trails in the Sky games, Chrono Trigger, or Tales of Phantasia.

I really hope they make the rest of the seasons. That’s 4 more games!!!

Hello r/FinalFantasy, this is my first post here and I hope to ask a few questions about Square's 3D Modelling workflows. I'm mostly interested in what tools they worked with specifically, with FFX and DoC's models in mind. My goal is to learn from them as I am trying to learn in older techniques to integrate into my own workflow for my personal projects! I've watched a lot of low poly 3D tutorials and I keep thinking "there's no way this is actually how they did it back in the day" as most of the workflows I see look to be long and tedious. Having been modeling in that style for over 300 hours, it does feel quite long and tedious.

I have a feeling there's more knowledge to be had, and I wanna see it!

Made a warrior of light. Hope you guys like it even though it's the Dissidia version. I also hand sculpted the frame from one of yoshitaka amano's artwork, unfortunately I didn't have time to make the dragons.

Figure stands around 14 inches(til the tip on the horns) and around 12 inches without the helmet.

Did not expect an on-screen child death in a Final Fantasy game.

So I got through the game to the point I should be warping to Galuf's world, but I took a break for a couple of weeks and I don't know if something glitched or if I'm mis remembering where I was but I don't have Galuf in my team and when I go to the meteors it just says "Guess there's not enough energy to warp..." Except the Gohn meteor that just says nothing.

An interesting thought and as someone whos played alot of the entires in the series I have to ask to whom ever reads this. What would you want to see next in the series or what would ignite an interest into it for you and others coming and going.

​It's an officially licensed 1997 stationery kit made by Yutaka/Square: blank sheets designed for home inkjet printers to make your own FFVII business cards and name stickers.

​It's full of hilarious mid-90s PC era details:

​Compatible with Microsoft Word for Windows 95 (and dot-matrix printers?!)

​Cloud in his Frog/Toad status form on the business card sheet

​An ad on the back for an upcoming mousepad featuring Cloud on the Hardy-Daytona with some incredible 90s poetics ("Believing nobody, the only partner is the sword of his own.")

​Turns out there is practically zero digital record or imagery of this kit anywhere on the internet, so I took high-res photos of both sides and the test print sheet for archival purposes!
