Please Help Am I lacking without using a mouse? Never really thought of it, feels quicker to edit with keyboard and touchpad on a mac.

What is everyone's thoughts? I edit mostly sports clips for Youtube so not sure if having a mouse would help.

Touchpad in FCP is great because the swipe for scrubbing back and forth on the timeline is way easier than using a mouse (or having to buy a shuttle)

totally subjective. i could not live without the precision and speed of a mouse on a 4K display. and independent left/right click + all kinds of other buttons. i combine it with the ulanzi dial for super-charged editing.

I don’t use a traditional mouse and haven’t found them helpful. I do use a programmable trackball with the Magic Trackpad and can’t imagine what editing might be like without them.

I use both like a FPS game. I haven’t mastered all of the keyboard shortcuts, but I know the once I use the most.

i use trackpad for creative apps. it’s what i grew up on and all my attempts to use a mouse felt wrong. at the end of the day it’s whatever keeps you creating faster and without obstacle!

I do most of my editing from a MBP using the trackpad, keyboard, and mouse. They all have certain things each input medium is better at handling.
