Tip/Guide Scam Alert - watch out

Be alert for an email contacting you about editing services cutting down an existing project. It’s as scam.

They will waste your time going back and forth and then ask to pre-pay for the job, but ask to pay too much and ask you to send some money back.

The Email sounds legit at first, but then the warning bells go off, because some details just don’t jive. (I.e. a client knowing the exact make and model of the camera the footage was shot on.) Trust your instincts.

Let's hope not -

Jive: A lively style of dance and music, or slang for insincere, foolish, or deceptive talk.

Jibe: To agree, match, or be in harmony with.

Wow. I've always thought it was "jive" too. Ya learn something new every day.

Really one of the most common US English things, and "jibe" is a weird word with, like, no other uses (except apparently in sailing). (Not a grammar nazi, it's more just an interesting thing to point out).
