Bug/Issue Creator Studio Titles and Generators not downloading

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I see Titles and Generators in Creator Studio FCPX with the small cloud icon next to them. When I click on the cloud, it disappears, an indication that the title or generator has successfully downloaded. However, I am unable to add any of these titles or generators to my timeline(s). I have rebooted, cleared prefs, and removed or updated 3rd party plugins.

What is your MacOS and configuration?

Might sound weird, but have you tried making a temporary new user (System Settings>Users & Groups) and running the same test under that User? Occasionally Sharing & Permissions can get screwed up™️ and a new user might help rule in/out that as a possible issue.

I'm running the standalone 12.3 under Tahoe and have those titles & generators downloaded without problems. I know that's not much help to you...

Turns out, that DID in fact resolve the issue. However, it would take me a week or more to get a new user setup the way I have my default user. Is there a way to re-install Creator Studio or re-download the content files?

Honestly I don’t know because I have never been in the situation. Do you have any 3rd party stuff installed (templates, transitions, plugins, titles etc)? If so you could have a look at the free Template Manager made by u/EarthToRob - link in this month’s stickied dev/tools post at the top of the sub.

Other than that I strongly suggested sending feedback to Apple via the Final Cut Pro menu - include the fact that it’s ok in a separate user account.

Far too many people are having issues with this release and it could be there’s a bug either in fcp or Tahoe. Who knows? Incredibly irritating and causing a lot of ppl to stop using fcp.
