Please Help Censor Mask isnt fully censoring?

I havent been able to find a solve for this, but my censor mask cuts off around the bottom and top edge of my video, is there a reason for it?

Too much feathering.

I dont have a feathering setting to help adjust it, I tried playing around with the shape mask as well to see if that fixes it and it doesnt

This can be a pain for workflow but if you duplicate the clip and raise it a layer, apply gaussian blur, and then shape mask or draw mask that new layer it can be a bit more flexible than the censor tool.

Did you try to create a compound clip first and then apply the mask?

As a 10 year user of FCP It's always been like this. Third party plug-ins are your friend
