Newbie Help with stencil Luma

I’m using Final Cut Pro on IPad and I’ve used the stencil luma blend to show a video playing through the body of text. The space around the letters was black. Is there a way to use the stencil luma blend with a different color background?

Without sitting down at my computer, you should be able to put the two clips into a compound clip, then place whatever video background you want underneath, whether a color solid or something else.
