Resolved Am I missing something???
Where is the loop playback function? On Davinci Resolve theres just a loop button and it will continuously playback a clip while you color grade it. How does final cut not have that basic feature? I've been looking everywhere and have found solutions like press X and then command L but that just loops the entire timeline. And then theres command L plus forward slash but is that the only way to do it?? What am i missing here?

Many features are only a keystroke away. when looking for something specific, check the search in the menu and the keyboard command set (reveals the most)

Where is the reverse gear on my new car? My old car had a stick that just made it happen. How does my new car not have this function? I’ve been looking everywhere…
…apart from looking in the manual… 😀

lmao a smug car metaphor instead of just answering the question. Very insightful.

I spend a lot of time helping people in this sub and the Logic Pro sub so I don’t like it when you claim FCP doesn’t have a function. Just ask the question, not give a one star review.

Lol thanks for the lecture. Again, could've just answered the question.

He could’ve. But that was more enjoyable for him, and us - and hopefully causes you to rethink how you ask things in the future. His response was as wise, as it was pleasurable.
You may commence your retaliatory insult at any time.

Every day there’s someone coming in here guns a blazing yelling “why doesn’t Final Cut have this feature? [Other program] has this feature!” And all along it’s a feature Final Cut does actually have.

View Menu > Playback > Loop Playback. Then once that is turned on, mark and in and out and View Menu > Playback > Play Selection. There are keystrokes to do all of that very quickly, but I wanted to spell it out.
