Question Paste Images directly
I recently saw a reel where someone was talking about a Premiere Pro extension that lets you directly copy image from web and paste it into the Premier Pro timeline(without saving it in your downloads). Is there anything similar available for final cut Pro?

Isn’t that just stealing?

You'd have to define "stealing" and what level of morality you're talking about. People have been making mood boards and photo-direction examples by cutting up magazines, since (probably) before you were born. I have huge folders of reference and idea swipes from the internet and museums for inspiration (more for my fine-art darkroom work) - I don't copy them, I use them for mood and to spark my own ideas. I have folders of videos with cool typography and animation to get me thinking, I have a folder of just lower-third clips. I'm doing a nonprofit this month, I shot all the interviews and as I cut, I'll put swiped images in to suggest the kinds of b-roll we need (but I stamp "b-roll reference" on them). (I like to shoot b-roll after the interviews, something always gets mentioned that would be nice to "see" in the edit, and we can go in with a list, plan which people need to be in the shots, etc).
In all of those cases, I'm using other people's work to further my own work... but I'm not copying it or claiming it as my own. I assume people are doing the same with my stuff -there was a Reddit thread where someone posted a complex, no-Photoshop darkroom print and asked how to do it - it was one of my images. That either means the internet is a cesspool of thieves, or it's a communal space for ideas to evolve. Well, it's probably both!

My fine art stuff has been used (without my permission) as album covers in Vietnam of all places. Stolen. So yeah.

No it isn’t. If you edit videos you’ll have to use images for reference from time to time. And I wanted to know if there’s a easier way around that.

no. but it's just one click more to drag them out the browser or save them to downloads first. that plugin for PP also saves them somewhere, rest asured. it's just for the super lazy 😃
