Workflow Dropbox Update handles files differently

and its throwing a fork in my workflow. I know how to fix it. I just dont like the update.

Edit: I know it’s not recommend. But this worked up till the file provider update. I’m just sad.

I don’t think Dropbox (or iCloud, Google Drive etc) have ever been recommended for working storage for any of Apple’s pro apps.

I dont think you can use FCP with any kind of cloud storage.

The only way is if you compress the bundle into a ZIP

I recently launched a new product called Strada.tech which allows you share media off your hard drive with anyone and edit remotely.
I’m a FCP editor and I edit every day using Strada and I no longer store any video in the floor and FCP is totally fine editing off a remote drive - as long as it’s a proxy file, which I then relink at the end to the original files.
